As generative AI moves deeper into everyday enterprise workflows, security teams are facing a new visibility problem. Employees maybe using tools such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini and GitHub Copilot alongside traditional corporate systems creating another layer of activity that organizations need to understand without losing sensitive data.
For Iraq, that challenge comes with the expansion of digital payments, government services, telecommunications and connected energy infrastructure. Exabeam is targeting that intersection with an on-premises approach that allows security teams to use AI for threat investigation while keeping security data inside their own environments.
Exabeam has introduced its modernized LogRhythm SIEM Platform in Iraq, bringing AI-assisted security operations and enterprise AI monitoring to organizations that require greater control over where their security data is processed.
The platform allows teams to monitor the use of enterprise AI tools, including ChatGPT, Google Gemini and GitHub Copilot, while using locally hosted AI models to investigate alerts and security incidents. A Model Context Protocol server connects local generative AI models with SIEM data, allowing security teams to query information, investigate threats and triage alerts without sending sensitive security data outside their controlled infrastructure.
That approach is particularly relevant for regulated and critical sectors where data sovereignty, compliance requirements and infrastructure constraints can limit the use of public cloud AI services.
The launch supports Iraq’s digital transformation across government, financial services, energy, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure. A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server connects local generative AI models with SIEM data for on-premises queries, investigations, and alert triage. Out-of-the-box collectors for ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and GitHub Copilot bring enterprise AI telemetry into LogRhythm SIEM for logging and risk tracking. This gives teams more context to investigate insider threats associated with AI tools.
“We’re proud to support Iraqi organizations as they expand their digital services and manage the security risks that come with wider access to mission-critical data. Securing Iraq’s digital transformation means understanding how employees and AI agents use trusted access and identifying when that access is misused,” said Mazen Adnan Dohaji, Senior Vice President and General Manager, IMETA, at Exabeam. “Through our modernized LogRhythm SIEM, we’re addressing this need by helping teams use local AI models to investigate insider risk without moving sensitive security data outside their environment. We’re focused on helping customers in Iraq build on existing investments and adopt AI-assisted security operations to meet region-specific needs.”
For markets like Iraq the question is not just whether security operations adopt AI but where that AI runs and who retains control of the underlying data. Exabeam’s on-premises approach reflects a broader move toward AI-assisted cybersecurity that does not require organizations to trade data sovereignty for automation.
