Nutanix expands multitenant cloud capabilities for global service providers

Nutanix has announced updates to its Elevate Service Provider Program, introducing new platform and programme enhancements aimed at supporting service providers operating in hybrid multicloud environments. The developments include multitenant cloud capabilities through the Nutanix Service Provider Central offering, designed to help partners scale services and differentiate their market positioning globally.

Service Provider Central, built on the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP), is expected to become available in the second half of 2026. The offering is positioned to address demand for enterprise-grade multitenant Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), particularly among service providers reassessing their existing cloud partnerships. The platform introduces a centralised management layer via Nutanix Central, allowing operators to manage multiple tenants through a single interface while maintaining compliance and operational control.

Each tenant environment is designed to function as an independent private cloud, with access to Nutanix Prism for managing compute, storage, networking, identity, and authorisation. While tenants retain operational autonomy, service providers maintain overarching governance and system oversight across shared infrastructure.

Alongside platform updates, Nutanix has introduced a “Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions” designation. This initiative enables service providers to obtain validation for offerings aligned with Nutanix architectural standards and best practices. Initial coverage includes private cloud services such as IaaS, Sovereign IaaS, and Disaster Recovery as a Service, with plans to expand into areas including Desktop as a Service and cloud-native solutions.

To support transitions from VMware-based environments, Nutanix is also introducing onboarding incentives. Eligible service providers can access Nutanix software under a reduced monthly commitment during an initial promotional period tied to multi-year subscriptions. The approach is intended to reduce the financial burden of running parallel platforms during migration.
